Help and support for life after a Stroke
Life after a Stroke can be difficult and challenging. You and your family will need to adjust to a potentially different way of life and you may be left feeling anxious about the future.
We are able to provide help and support with a genuine understanding and caring nature that helps you to continue to live safe and happy at home.

Every experience is different
100,000 people each year have strokes and there are 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK.
Every outcome after a stroke is different and we work with you to understand your individual challenges and exactly what support you require.
We take time to understand what is important to you and work alongside physiotherapists to aid in your recovery.
Cognitive and Emotional Support
After a stroke, it is very common to feel depressed or anxious as well as having feels of anger, frustration and bewilderment.
Our Care Assistants are trained to support you during these periods and offer understanding and comfort.
Cognitive functions can be disrupted by a stroke to include communication, spatial awareness, memory, concentration, praxis and more. Sometimes this affects daily activities such as getting dressed or making a cup of tea.
We are dedicated to helping you in whichever way you need and want and will take the time to fully understand your personal needs. We will then create a dedicated care plan to your exacting needs.
- Please note. Not all Caremark offices offer this service. Please check with your local office to find out more.
Support to live a happy life
Life after a stroke varies significantly from person to person. Some may recover quickly, whereas others may need long-term support in order to gain as much independence as possible.
Our aim to do everything we can to ensure recovery and independence is achieved as much as possible. We are happy to work closely with physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, dieticians and doctors and nurses to provide the best possible care for your needs.
We will work with you to set goals and are fundamental in helping you to achieve them.
