Our first free coffee and exercise morning of 2025 – what happened?

What a great start to 2025 at our first free coffee and chair-based exercise class at Pip and Jims.
We had a wonderful time on Thursday, January 30th, at our first coffee morning and chair-based exercise class of 2025, held at the slightly later start time of 11:00am (also now on Thursdays).

Alison and Gail, who were walking down Grafton Street towards the church for another event, happened upon Frances and Emily as they were setting up. They decided to join in, enjoying an early mug of coffee and several cakes before the others arrived. Alison, who supports Gail in accessing different community activities, works for Guideposts Gloucestershire—a charity dedicated to helping individuals with long-term conditions, disabilities, or caring responsibilities to improve their mental health and well-being.
Our much-loved Silver Surfer, Joan, 93, made the journey all the way from Up Hatherley on her trusty “Big Bertha” and was so delighted with the event that she has requested all the remaining class dates be emailed to her.
Mandy brought along the lovely Fay and a new recruit, Roger, who had a fantastic time. In fact, Roger enjoyed it so much that he has already told Mandy he is eager to attend again!
Sadly, our friends Dorris and Jean, residents of Park Gate, were unable to join us this time due to other commitments. Jean and Dorris, we missed you and hope to see you at our next session on February 20th!
Thank you to everyone who attended—here’s to many more wonderful gatherings at our free coffee and exercise classes in 2025! If you are free at 11am on 20 February, please feel free to join us.
