Meet the Team – Frances

Frances joined Caremark in April 2024 as our Business Development and Events Co-ordinator. Her role involves not only promoting Caremark in the area but also organising events which serve the community.
Frances has qualified teacher status (QTS) specialising in supporting children with special educational needs. Her previous role was that of a Teaching Assistant where she assisted children if they needed additional support in the classroom. Prior to the Teaching Assistant role, Frances was the Assistant Headteacher at Alderman Knight School in Tewkesbury.
Frances is a lively, positive and, as can be seen from her work history and training, caring person.
Our Coffee and Cake mornings
Our first event, organised by Frances, was the Coffee and Cake morning. This was held in Tewkesbury on 27 March, and was a great success. You can find out more what happened at this Coffee and Cake morning here.
Frances wants to continue the Coffee and Cake mornings and the second Coffee and Cake morning happened on 23 April. Click here to find out what happened at our April Coffee and Cake morning.
And we have our third Coffee and Cake morning to look forward to on 23 May 2024 at St Stephens Church, Cheltenham. Do come along!
Frances also intends to attend job fairs to promote Caremark’s care assistant roles – her first job fair was in Stroud in April. Click here to read more about Frances’ first job fair.
We want to promote the fact that Care Assistant roles are suitable for all. A Care Assistant does not have to be young, female, work full-time, physically fit or medically trained – as far as we are concerned, the priority for us is that our Care Assistants care!
Frances’ aims in this role are firstly to help Caremark become one of the county’s foremost care agencies. Secondly, to organise events which give back to the community, an ethos which is keenly encouraged and supported by Directors Mike and Joanne Folkes.
