Good Care Assistants deserve a reward!
Each month we award one of our Care Assistants with “Care Assistant of the Month” award. A good care assistant can be tricky to find. However, here at Caremark Cheltenham and Gloucester are proud to say that we have plenty of them! So much so that we always award a different Care Assistant each month.
February’s Care Assistant of the Month
Elizabeth, one of our wonderful Care Assistants, went above and beyond in February. She was an absolute star!
One of Elizabeth’s customers, who is living with cancer, was really fancying a portion of McDonalds fries. However, she could not get out and about to get them for herself. So Elizabeth surprised her and bought her some, taking them to her on a lunchtime visit.
The customer was over the moon and very touched. So much so that unbeknown to Elizabeth she rang our offices to tell us what she had done.
We thought this was such a lovely thing to do that we decided to surprise both the customer and Elizabeth. Rachel and Kirstie, our two Field Care supervisors, secretly rocked up to the customer’s house the following week with a McDonalds lunch for both of them.
Neither the customer or Elizabeth were keen on having their photo taken so the photo below is of Rachel and Kirstie.
We also felt that Elizabeth deserved the Carer of the Month award for February. So Rachel delivered the certificate and chocolates to Elizabeth.
March’s Care Assistant of the Month
Observe was nominated by customer “JB”. JB phoned into the office specifically to nominate him.
JB says that he is just amazing, a really kind and nice guy, who takes pride in the care that he provides to JB.
The office team totally agree with JB and also comment that Observe is really funny and lights up the office when he comes in with his repartee. Also, Observe exudes positivity.
Observe knows all his customers really well and treats them with respect and kindness. Observe is just truly AMAZING. 😊 Observe is one of our long-standing Care Assistants – he joined in December 2023.
