GCPA Awards Night: A Celebration of Care and Camaraderie!
On Friday 10th October, the Caremark Cheltenham and Gloucester dream team dressed to impress. Why? Because we were heading to the fabulous Hatherley Manor Hotel and Spa for the 2025 GCPA (Gloucestershire Care Providers Association) Awards! This year’s festivities were spread across two sparkling evenings – Friday 3rd and Friday 10th October – and wow, what a celebration of care it was!
Our Celebration of Care
The GCPA Awards are like the Oscars of social care. Consequently, they shine a spotlight on the everyday heroes who make a real difference. From frontline carers to leadership legends. These events honour excellence in everything from dementia support to digital innovation, end-of-life care, and top-notch training. It’s all about celebrating those who go the extra mile (and then some!) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to our communities.
Our Nominee
Joining us for the evening was none other than the incredible Joyleen Nyawaranda, our nominee for Carer of the Year. Let’s just say, we thought she absolutely stole the show! Since stepping into her role in August 2023, Joyleen has been a beacon of kindness, calm, and care. Moreover, customers call her “simply brilliant,” and we couldn’t agree more. Whether she’s listening, adapting, advocating, or supporting entire families, Joyleen brings heart and soul to everything she does. Undeniably, Joyleen is not just a carer – she’s a lifeline, a champion, and a daily dose of hope.
What happened?
And guess what?
Unquestionably the judges agreed! Joyleen was awarded Runner-Up Carer of the Year – a well-deserved recognition for someone who truly embodies the spirit of care.
The evening was jam packed with celebration and care
Finally, the evening was packed with inspiring stories, heartfelt moments, and plenty of cheers. It was a beautiful blend of dedication, friendship, and team spirit.
