Carers of the Month for March and April
Each month, Caremark Cheltenham and Gloucester award our carers with a Carer of the Month award. Here we talk about our Carers of the Month for March and April who are Tatenda and Abdul respectively.
Our Carer of the Month for March is Tatenda
Tatenda has been working as part of a team for the live-in package for this particular customer, “R”.
R, who Tatenda cares for, continues to improve with Tatenda’s support and encouragement. Within only 6 weeks Tatenda had made such a big difference to R!
R is now able to independently access the toilet in between visits. R would never would have been able to do this before receiving Tatenda’s care.
The Carer of the Month award is handed to a carer for several reasons. It may be because a Field Care Supervisor or another member of staff has nominated them. Or they have received outstanding testimonials from a customer. Well done to our carers for the months of March and April!
Our Carer of the Month for April is Abdul
Abdul recently supported a client and family with calm professionalism and genuine compassion. So much so, the family contacted Caremark and asked for him to be recognised as Carer of the Month.
Also, Abdul has been amazing with another customer D. D had been refusing personal care, so much so D’s commode was full and his toilet blocked on his 3 visits to see D that day. So, without being asked, Abdul emptied the commode and also unblocked the toilet so both could be used.
Abdul has also received recognition from the wife of J who is out of hospital but unfortunately at end of life.
Caremark Cheltenham and Gloucester LOVE to celebrate its care assistant’s good work and having a carer of the month award means that we can show our carers that we really do appreciate the hard work and effort they make. Thank you to both Tatenda and Abdul for their high level of service which has won them these Carers of the Month for March and April awards.
