Fijian Cultural Evening
Last week we were treated to a taste of Fijian life, an amazing evening of dance information and glorious food.
Hosted by our carer Seru and 3 generations of the Cakacakavakalotu family.
First we sat down to a traditional Fijian welcome ceremony of Kava, a drink made from a Fijian plant root.
Then a very interesting talk on regional dress and historical cultural artifacts.
Later we were treated to a Fijian feast of barbecued pork and chicken followed by traditional sweets and treats.
The evening was rounded of with traditional dance show.
A huge thank you from everyone at Caremark.
