March 2026 Memory Cafe – Easter and St Patrick’s Day Morning
Our March Memory Cafe was a lovely, relaxed morning with an Easter and St Patrick’s Day theme. Service users, families and carers came together to enjoy music, arts and crafts, and a catch-up over tea and treats. The Memory Cafe continues to be a welcoming space where everyone can feel comfortable, have a chat and take part in light activities.
A Morning of Music, Crafts and Conversation
We were delighted to have Geoff Hatt back providing live music, which brought a great atmosphere to the room. Everyone enjoyed singing along to familiar songs, and it really helped create a fun and relaxed start to the day.
There was also time for arts and crafts, with everyone making their own St Patrick’s Day themed suncatchers to take home. It was great to see everyone getting involved, chatting and having a laugh while being creative.
Alongside this, everyone enjoyed tea, coffee, biscuits and scones while catching up with each other. These simple moments are what make the Memory Cafe so special, giving people time to relax and enjoy good company. To finish the morning, everyone received a chocolate Easter egg to take home, which was a lovely surprise.
A Special Celebration
We also celebrated two birthdays during the morning. Happy Birthday to Jim, and a very special congratulations to George Ashmore, who turned 100. George has been a much-loved part of the Memory Cafe for years, and it was lovely to celebrate such an incredible milestone with him. He’s always full of stories and brings great warmth to every session, so it made the occasion even more special for everyone there.
