During the Wokingham May Fayre on the 6th May 2013, Caremark (Wokingham and Bracknell) ran a competition to guess how many balloons were in a Caremark Car. We are extremely pleased to say Caremark were able to raise £107.82 for WADE from this event

WADE is a registered charity whose aim is to promote the welfare of the elderly in the Wokingham Borough area. The Charity was founded by the late Jean Davy, a former Mayor of Wokingham, and the Day Centre at 40 Reading Road, Wokingham was opened in 1974. If you would like to become a member of the Day Centre, or know an elderly person who would benefit from coming to the centre, please give them a call on 0118 978 7025.

As the event is now over, I can reveal we managed to fit 107 balloons in the car and astonishingly six people guessed the correct amount on the day. Each of the winners received a wonderful box of Lindt Chocolates, which were donated by Caremark (Wokingham and Bracknell).

We are pleased to say we raised £107.82 for WADE with Bipin Patel, Director of Caremark (Wokingham and Bracknell) doubling the total amount raised on the day. Without everyone’s help this would not have been possible therefore we would like to thank everyone who donated on day.
I would also like to thank the Mayor of Wokingham, Cllr Peter Lucey, who was the first person on the day who donated generously to WADE.
