Care Co-ordinator
Are you great at organising a schedule? Do you find that you are great at finding a solution to a complex problem? When there is a group event, do you often find that you are the point of contact for everyone because you know the arrangements?
If this is you then perhaps you were a born Care Coordinator.
As a Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for aligning the schedule of your Care & Support Workers with the important needs of supporting people to receive care in their own homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Allocation of Care & Support Workers to all service user visits.
- Responding to incoming telephone enquiries.
- Processing new service user referrals.
- Preparing appropriate documentation for Field Care Supervisors.
- Ensuring Customer and Care & Support Worker records are up to date.
- Producing reports and management information as required.
Some key skills that you will need for this role include: being a good communicator, experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), the ability to work under pressure and great organisational skills. If you’ve worked in the care industry previously (or have a personal experience with care) then that would be great as well, but it’s not mandatory.

Care Assistant
Our Care Assistants have the chance to make a real difference to people’s lives, both at home and supporting them in the community. This is a role that varies from day-to-day to helping the more vulnerable in our society, offering a sense of satisfaction that is difficult to match.
Working for Caremark Wokingham and Bracknell, you would be responsible for meeting the support requirements of our customers, in a way that respects the individual and promotes their independence. You would be expected to travel to the customer’s home and assist them with daily tasks as agreed between the customer and Caremark.
The type of support that you would be providing is no different to what would reasonably be given by a member of the person’s family. For instance, you may be providing help with bathing and dressing or domestic support.
Your role would include helping customers with tasks such as:
- Shopping & meal preparation
- Prompting with medication
- Support with daily routines
- Respite services
- Socialising and leisure activities
- Helping customers access the community
Your role
The type of support that you can expect to be providing is no different to what would reasonably be given by a member of the person’s family. For instance, you may be providing domestic support to an individual or personal care.
You as a person
Caremark Care Assistants are responsible for meeting the support requirements of our customers, in a way that respects the individual and promotes their independence. You will have to travel to the customers own home and assist them with daily tasks that are set out in their Care Plan
