December at Caremark Slough & South Bucks was brimming with festive cheer and heartfelt celebrations. Our dedicated carers enjoyed a Christmas Mufti day, bringing a splash of colour and personality to their work as they donned their favourite festive outfits. We rallied together for our Christmas Pyjama appeal, collecting cosy nightwear to support children in hospitals in need during the colder months. The community came alive at the Christmas Music Matters event held at Ravine 17 Café, where music and good company were at the heart of the festivities. The season was made even more special with our office Christmas party, featuring a lively Secret Santa exchange, and we had the joy of celebrating our Care Manager Suki’s birthday together. To top it all off, we delivered thoughtful Christmas gifts to our clients, spreading warmth and goodwill throughout our community.

We also had a little Christmas miracle—Rosie, our Care Coordinator, started her maternity leave and welcomed a healthy baby boy named Oliver, a week early! We’re so happy for her, Jack, and Joshua, their firstborn. Wishing them joy as they enjoy their growing family, and hoping they’ve been able to get some rest.

Christmas Mufti Day

Mufti Day was extra special for the carers as they got to wear their own clothes with a touch of Christmas cheer. We held a best dressed competition, and Favour won the challenge with an outfit that included a headband which even lit up, adding a brilliant sparkle to the festivities.

Christmas Pyjama Appeal Events 2025 – Children’s Hospital Pyjamas

This year, we lent our support to a smaller charity called Children’s Hospital Pyjamas by gathering Christmas pyjamas to be distributed to children staying in hospitals across the country. Our team was delighted to contribute to such a meaningful cause, knowing that these cosy gifts brought comfort and festive spirit to young patients during a challenging time.

Music Matters @ Ravine17 Cafe

It was a wonderful day out for our clients and carers, where we came together to sing Christmas carols and savour a hot cup of coffee or tea alongside a mince pie. The atmosphere was truly festive, and everyone felt the Christmas spirit in abundance. We’re already looking forward to many more music events, which will continue to be held every Wednesday at the café, bringing our community together in song and celebration.

Office Party and Secret Santa

We had a fantastic time at the office Christmas party, where we exchanged Secret Santa gifts. Some of our international carers weren’t familiar with the tradition, which led to plenty of laughs when they signed their names on the presents. We also celebrated our Care Manager Suki’s birthday, a thoughtful gesture from the carers who surprised her with a cake and gifts. It was a wonderful way to wrap up our Christmas celebrations for the year.

Welcome 2026!

It’s been a busy month, filled with organizing events for carers and clients while wrapping up the year, but looking back, it was so much fun and truly captured the festive spirit. As we welcome 2026, we wish all our carers and clients safety, prosperity, and a New Year full of adventures, success, love, and joy in their homes. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who helped us through the year and look forward to welcoming more clients so we can have the pleasure of caring for them in their own homes.
