Sponsorship for young footballers

A group of young footballers are aiming to hit the back of the net this season after securing sponsorship from Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield.

Dicko Juniors Football Club (DJFC) under-10s have received £500 from Caremark to buy a new strip and training equipment.

The boys and girls, who play in the Kickstart League, have already won the spring league and are now taking part in summer tournaments, where they are wearing the new kit for the first time.

Manager Richard Dixon said: “We are a new team and like all clubs at this level we rely on fundraising and the generosity of local people/businesses, so to receive £500 is massive for us.

“It has enabled us to buy kits for the whole squad, as well as additional training equipment.

“It’s great for the kids when they pull a new kit on, and we are now looking forward to playing our first games in it.

“We would like to thank Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield for their kind support.”

Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield Managing Director Simon Ford said: “We are very pleased to have been able to sponsor the team and we hope the tops bring them luck next season.

“As a company providing homecare services in Ashfield, it is good to be able to give something back to the community which is very supportive of us.”

DJFC have a private Facebook page if anyone from the local area are interested in their son/daughter joining the squad.
