Caremark Guildford & Woking on BBC Radio Surrey
It was our privilege, as Caremark Guildford & Woking, to appear on BBC Radio Surrey discussing the important job Care Assistants do for people in our community.
Being a carer is rewarding as well as challenging. It’s full of ups and downs. Carers are very special people and we are proud of ours. Sadly though, often they are under valued. Funding from government can have a big impact on salaries, old fashioned attitudes sometimes mean people do not understand the high levels of training carers undertake. And far too often we are too young to need a carer so we do not realise the responsibility and skills that come with this job.
We wanted to educate people about how incredible these people are and that’s why our joint MD Craig Cameron, and our Care Manager Sarah Jones appeared on BBC Radio Surrey. In their feature, Caremark Guildford & Woking on BBC Radio Surrey, they shared invaluable insights.
Appearing on BBC Radio Surrey, we were able to share opportunities available and share the important role that carers have in our lives. We want people to see that without them, most of our ageing and vulnerable would have a very poor quality of life.

“Caremark are absolutely amazing. They are so caring. When my father feels down they take the time to just sit down with him and just have a chat. They, the carers, are all so professional in what they do. I would recommend them to anyone who requires home care.”
