Read all about our free April Coffee and Cake morning
Read what happened at our free April Coffee and Cake morning. This was held on 23 April 2024 at The George Watson Hall in Tewkesbury
Our free April coffee and cake morning was hosted by Jenny, Emily, Lola and Frances.
Everyone was welcome, even Managing Director Mike Folkes!
The Caremark team were joined by some lovely residents. Several members of the Tewkesbury ‘Fit for Life’ contingent, who use the hall for their weekly group exercise session, also attended.
There was plenty of chat over tea, coffee and CAKE. Especially, around the importance of keeping fit and staying active in the community. Our visitors were excited to learn that Caremark are hoping to continue with the coffee and cake mornings. This will generate regular faces to build friendships.
We are delighted with the turnout at this coffee and cake morning. Even more so, as it also produced some good conversations about how Caremark can provide care and support. Especially for those people who want to remain independent in their own homes.
A Win-Win!
Why Caremark Cheltenham & Tewkesbury are running these Coffee and Cake mornings
Would you like some companionship or do you have a loved one that would enjoy these mornings? Everyone is welcome to this free monthly event where we will provide coffee, cake and some light entertainment.
Loneliness in older people is a common issue that can have significant impacts on their physical and mental well-being. In Gloucestershire, like many other areas, older individuals can experience loneliness due to factors such as isolation, loss of friends or family members, health issues that limit their social interactions, lack of transportation, or living alone.
Come along, have a natter, maybe make some new friends in your local area.
Caremark aims to support the communities that we serve and help combat loneliness later in life.
We will also have information available if you are interested in working in the care sector.
