What constitutes right to work in the UK?
An individual is eligible to work in the UK if they are a citizen of Britain or if they hold valid settled status in the UK.For non-UK residents, the right to work will be determined by their immigration status and any restrictions imposed on them by their grant of leave.
What is acceptable proof of right to work in UK?
You can prove your right to work by showing your employer your valid British or Irish passport. If you don’t have a British or Irish passport, you can use a valid passport from another country. The passport must have a stamp or sticker on it saying you have right of abode.
