Seated Yoga at Ralph Perring Court – An Act of Care and Connection

As part of our 20 Acts of Care initiative, we were thrilled to bring a moment of movement, mindfulness, and connection. This was for the residents of Ralph Perring Court, an independent living retirement home.
The event featured a gentle seated yoga session – designed to suit all abilities. It focused on breathing, light stretching, and relaxation. These sessions are a simple yet powerful way to support mobility. They also help reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing for older adults.
We were joined by the wonderful Karen, known affectionately as Krazy K. She brings her infectious energy and warm-hearted approach to each session she leads. With compassion and a bright smile, Karen guided the group through each movement. This made the session fun, uplifting, and inclusive for everyone.
At its heart, this session wasn’t just about physical exercise. It was about bringing people together, sharing laughter, and reminding everyone of the joy that can be found in small, caring moments.
This yoga event is one of our 20 Acts of Care. We are celebrating 20 years of supporting the local community through meaningful activities, personalised care, and wellbeing-led services. Each act is our way of saying thank you. Moreover, it’s our way of giving back to the people who’ve supported us along the way.
We’d like to thank the residents and staff at Ralph Perring Court for the warm welcome. Of course, a big thank-you to Krazy K for leading such an engaging and joyful session.
Here’s to many more acts of care — and to building stronger, healthier communities together.
