Today we delivered donations from Clients, Carers and the team to Warwick District Food Bank

It was great to meet Miriam today at the Warwick District Food Bank and to deliver a car-full of food items kindly donated by our Clients, our Carers and the Caremark Warwick team.

Warwick District Food Bank provides emergency food and support to local people in crisis.  Today in Warwick District there are families struggling to put food on the table.  For people on low incomes, a sudden crisis – redundancy, benefit delay or even an unexpected bill – can mean going hungry.  Clearly, Coronavirus has exacerbated these issues.  Every day parents skip meals to feed their children and people are forced to choose between paying the rent and eating.

Miriam said that the local community had been really generous with their donations in the run-up to Christmas but with the ongoing Coronavirus situation, the Food Bank will still need our donations post Christmas.
