Administrative Assistant

All Support Workers are fully trained, mentored and guided to ensure excellence is delivered and our clients receive consistent support by their team of regular Support Workers.

Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield are recruiting for FEMALE Support Workers to support our clients who receive NIGHT support within their home to enable their families to receive respite time. (This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 – Schedule 9, Part 1. Female applicants only.)

The night time visits are typically 10-12 hours per night, supporting on a one to one basis. The successful applicant will be required to work on a consistent 3 week rolling rota where they will be expected to also work weekends (Saturday & Sunday).

This post will involve supporting children with clinical complex care needs which include tracheostomy care, ventilation support and PEG feeding.

This is a WAKING NIGHT POSITION, requiring the successful candidate to remain awake throughout the shift to provide continuous observation, monitoring, and responsive clinical support to our client.

It is really important within this role to be reliable, punctual and be able to build professional relationships with clients, families and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting clients with their clinical and personal care during the night
  • Continuous overnight monitoring and observation
  • Supporting safe Tracheostomy care and responding to clinical needs throughout the night
  • Reporting and documenting clinical observations and alerting the necessary persons in the event of an emergency

As a clinical Support Worker you will be trained in all aspects of clinical support for your client in line with Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield Training Academy.

Throughout your role our Clinical Lead nurses, Case leaders and management team will provide ongoing support, guidance and training to ensure you are fully competent and successful within your role.

Children's Care Assistant

Location: Rotherham & Sheffield
Salary: £13.10-£13.50 per hour
Hours: Part time & Full time

Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield support Children & Young Adults who live within the community. We support individuals with a variety of complex needs which includes Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Clinical support needs.

We are currently recruiting for Children’s Support Workers who have a UK driving licence, able to obtain business insurance have use of a vehicle for work purposes.

Due to our client’s preference, we are interested in individuals who drive and own their own vehicle. Our clients enjoy accessing the community to undertake social activities to enable them to live an independent lifestyle.

As a Children’s support Worker you will be supporting your own small group of clients who have a range of complex needs who live within the community of Rotherham & Sheffield. All successful applicants MUST be able to transport themselves within the areas we provide support.

Experience is not required as full training and ongoing support and supervision is provided by our experienced management team.

You will need to be able to COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY, be PUNCTUAL and RELIABLE to ensure our clients’ dignity and respect is upheld. 

As a Community Children’s Support Worker you will be providing support to ONE client at ONE time on a two to one/one to one basis. Support visits are from 4 hours up to 12 hours per day.

As a Support Worker you will be an integral part of your own individual client’s person centered support on a weekly basis. You will be will be supporting a small group of regular clients following a three week rolling rota.

All Support Workers who are successful will be REQUIRED TO WORK SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS

TYPICAL SUPPORT WE PROVIDE TO CLIENTS ARE:

  • Support within the home (10-15 hours)
  • Support with personal care, medication administration, nutrition & hydration needs (3-15 hours)
  • Support within school, college and other educational provision (8 hours)
  • Support to access the community undertaking your clients chosen activities (4-8 hours)
