During his working life Ken was a music teacher and music still plays an important part in his life.
The first thing he does when he gets up in the morning is put on his favourite classical songs.
He is assisted in getting up by our carers.
They visit him twice a day, on an evening and morning. Their first job is helping him out of bed, after bathing him.
Due to his lack of mobility he needs to be hoisted from bed onto his favourite chair, before he settles down for his breakfast.
Ken’s son Nigel lives at home and is his main carer, with our staff providing a little bit of extra support which enables Nigel to go out to work and indulge his own love of music.
We return on an evening to help Ken back into bed and get him ready for the night.< Back to all Case Studies
