Agnes Igbedion

Care Manager

Before joining Caremark Merton as a Care Manager, I worked as a Registered Nurse, spending the majority of my nursing career in community settings supporting vulnerable adults to live safely and independently in their own homes. This experience gave me a strong foundation in person-centred care, complex needs management, and holistic health assessment within the community.

I bring my clinical expertise into my role at Caremark Merton to enhance the quality and safety of our care provision. My nursing background enables me to assess care needs effectively, support risk management, and ensure care plans are both responsive and evidence based. I work closely with care staff, families, and healthcare professionals to promote continuity of care and positive outcomes for our customers.

Alongside my clinical experience, I continue to develop my knowledge and understanding of social care, regulatory standards, and best practice, ensuring that our services remain compliant, compassionate, and tailored to individual needs. I am passionate about delivering high-quality care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing, and I am committed to supporting both our customers and care teams to achieve the best possible experience.

Memorial

Kate was an exceptional team member at Caremark Merton for many years. Her compassionate nature and drive for quality care embodied the true nature of caregiving. With a profound understanding of the importance of holistic care, Kate went above and beyond to ensure the wellbeing of our customers and staff in every aspect.
With a wealth of healthcare experience, starting from her time as a Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) for the British Red Cross, she later spent 15 years working in residential housing and an additional 15 years as the manager of Anchor Housing, specialising in care for the elderly. Her expertise fostered an inclusive and nurturing environment for our customers and the care team alike.
Kate firmly believed that providing care to the local community is crucial for its thriving, and she recognised that care assistants play a pivotal role in this. We were lucky enough to be blessed with her presence that served, and will continue to serve, as an invaluable source of inspiration and motivation for our entire team. She will be truly missed by our entire team and customers alike. May she rest in peace.
