Care Assistant

Location: Sheffield S35
Salary: £13.00
Hours: Part time & Weekends

Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield are recruiting for a female Support Worker. The vacancy could suit an applicant who lives locally to the S35 area of Sheffield.

I am an elderly lady living in the S35 area of Sheffield and am looking for a female Support Worker who holds a UK driving licence, has their own vehicle, and also carries business insurance.

The days I require support are on Mondays (5pm-8pm) and Saturdays every week.

I am an outgoing lady who lives with my family and two pet dogs. I love to socialise, meet new people get involved in community activities.

Support I Require:

  • Socialisation and community access – including attending appointments and providing general companionship.
  • Mobility assistance – I have an above knee amputation so I require support with a wheelchair and when mobilising around my home and out in the community.
  • Personal care – assistance with washing, dressing, and other personal tasks where required
  • Meal preparation – help with preparing and cooking my meals.
  • Home support – general assistance around my home environment.

Additional Information:

  • You must be comfortable around dogs, as they are an important part of my and my husband’s life.
  • I enjoy going out for lunch, coffee and cake, and attending a monthly cross-stitch class.
  • I also take part in Christmas crafts such as wreath-making, and have attended a local Slimming World group.

Requirements of the role:

The successful applicant will be required to be successful in establishing professional relationships with our clients, their families and other professionals involved in their care and support.

As a Community Support Worker, you will need to be a professional who actively engages and involves your client in their care and support needs.

You will need to be RELIABLE, PROFESSIONAL and PUNCTUAL, which promotes the high-quality care and support Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield provide.

An enhanced DBS will also be required for this role.

Complex Care Assistant

Location: Sheffield & Rotherham
Salary: £12.60-£13.30 per hour
Hours: Part time, Full time & Weekends

Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield support Children & Young Adults who live within the community. We support individuals with varied disabilities which includes Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Tracheostomy care and specialised feeding techniques- such as PEG’s.

We are currently recruiting for Support Workers who have a UK driving licence, able to obtain business insurance have use of a vehicle for work purposes.

Due to our client’s preference, we are interested in individuals who drive and own their own vehicle. Our clients enjoy accessing the community to undertake social activities to enable them to live an independent lifestyle.

As a Children’s support Worker you will be supporting your own small group of clients who have a range of different disabilities.

Experience is not required as full training and ongoing support and supervision is provided by our experienced team.

You will need to be able to communicate effectively, be punctual and reliable to ensure our clients’ dignity and respect is upheld. 

As a Support Worker you will be an integral part of your own individual client’s support on a weekly basis. You will be will be supporting a small group of regular clients.

You will be supporting ONE client at ONE time from 4 hours up to 12 hours per day.

All Support Workers who are successful will be REQUIRED TO WORK SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS

TYPICAL SUPPORT WE PROVIDE TO CLIENTS ARE:

  • Support within the home (10-15 hours)
  • Support with personal care, medication administration, nutrition & hydration needs (3-15 hours)
  • Support within school, college and education provision (8 hours)
  • Support to access the community undertaking your clients chosen activities (4-8 hours)

Children's Care Assistant

Location: Sheffield & Rotherham
Salary: £12.60-£13.30 per hour
Hours: WEEKENDS

Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield support Children and Young Adults living with complex care needs within the community. We are seeking WEEKEND female Support Workers to provide support to their allocated clients on a consistent regular basis.

Children who require support often still require support outside of school or weekday hours, which can be a critical time for socialisation and family respite.

As a Support Worker you will be  ensuring clients safety, well-being, and engagement in meaningful activities. This role is especially important for children with additional needs and disabilities.

Support visits are provided within BLOCK hours. Ranging from 4 hours-14 hours at any one time. Supporting on a one to one or two to one basis depending on the need of the client.

To ensure consistent support is provided for your regular clients your availability needs to remain the same throughout your employment.

Full training will be provided with support and guidance from the management team to ensure competency within your role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people with daily living activities during weekends. Including personal care, medication administration, moving & handling, nutrition and hydration needs and community access.
  • Work in partnership with families, caregivers, and professionals to meet the child’s individual needs.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and social skills in children.
  • Safeguard children by following safeguarding procedures and raising concerns appropriately.
  • Complete accurate and timely records, reports, and observations.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with children with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities.
