A stroke and clots all contributed to Bernard’s requiring home care.

He lives with his son who works during the day, so we were asked to provide support.

Our carers visit him on a morning to wash, dress and help him out of bed.

If he has been unable to get his own breakfast (we try to encourage our clients to remain as independent as possible) we ask him what he would like and make it for him.

Bernard likes to watch television, particularly horse racing, so our carers ensure he is comfortable and has everything he needs before ending the morning call.

They return at lunchtime to make him a meal and again on an evening to assist his son.
