As an experienced HR professional with a robust background in customer service, training, and operations, I bring a unique blend of skills and experience to the care industry. My journey began with a solid educational foundation, earning a Post Graduation in HRM (Level 7). Additionally, I hold multiple certifications in management.

With a diverse background spanning from team member to managerial positions in various industries, I bring a wealth of experience in leadership, team management, and customer service. My journey includes roles in HR, training, and operations, complemented by entrepreneurial endeavours in local businesses like post offices and petrol stations. As a former Area Manager and Training and Development Manager with a focus on employee motivation and development, I am dedicated to fostering supportive environments.

 

My extensive experience in customer service and my commitment to excellence have equipped me with the necessary skills to excel in the care business. I am a strong communicator, capable of building positive relationships both internally and externally. I possess a keen analytical mind, excellent decision-making abilities, and a high tolerance for pressure, all of which are crucial in providing top-notch care services.

 

I am dedicated to creating a supportive and productive environment where both customers and team members feel valued and motivated. With a “How can I help you?” attitude, I strive to go the extra mile for customers, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and empathy. Care Manager

I am the Care Manager at Caremark Preston, bringing with me a wealth of experience and passion for supporting others. With a career in health and social care that began in the 1990s, I started out as a care assistant and progressed to senior roles, including Deputy Manager of a residential home.

My journey also includes a remarkable 16-year chapter with Lancashire Constabulary, working first as a paralegal and later as a Volunteer Officer, leading on recruitment, training, and support for volunteers who were matched with vulnerable individuals, in the Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde areas. This role, which began just six weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic, deeply reinforced my commitment to helping those in need.

After further experience in a local sight loss charity, raising funds and planning events, I returned to health and social care as a Care Coordinator, where my passion and dedication has now led me into the role of Care Manager.  I am proud to be able to lead a team that delivers compassionate, person-centred care across the Preston community.

Outside of work, I enjoy being with my longhaired miniature dachshund called Bongo.  I have 2 grown up daughters and an amazing partner.   I love to travel.  Favourite destination so far has to be Las Vegas, where I was lucky enough to see Adele in concert, and Jamaica.
