Care Assistant
We are seeking to appoint carers for our first Career Care Assistant Pathway Induction
Are you looking for a Career in Domiciliary Care?
Career Care Assistant posts are salaried positions. They offer genuine opportunities for you to develop a career in domiciliary care.
Our first induction is taking place this Autumn and we are looking for talented ambitious people to join us. In this recruitment round we want to appoint people with domiciliary care experience, currently working in domiciliary care.
We will be holding a selection day on Wednesday 6th September 2023 at Betteshanger Park. This will be the only selection day for this recruitment round.
Career Care Assistants will train to become specialists in areas of domiciliary care. The are 3 levels of CCAs. General, Advanced and Specialist.
The Opportunities We Have For You
A Career Structure
Probation lasts six months and must be passed successfully for you to proceed to the General level on pay band 1. Probation may be extended. To move up the pay bands you will, usually spend at least 12 months at any one level.
Progression Opportunities
We have businesses in Dover, Thanet, and Canterbury, which means we have innumerable opportunities for people who want to progress.
Our career pathway allows you to become a specialist in certain areas of domiciliary care. Now we have opportunities to specialise in neurological conditions, palliative care, children’s care and aging.
We have an aspiring managers’ programme. If you are selected for this, you will have the opportunity to learn alongside your peers and current managers. The aim of the programme is to prepare you for management. Our management roles include Care Co-ordinators, Field Care Supervisors and Care Managers.
An alternative to, or an addition to, a management role is to move into domiciliary care training. We have an increasing need for people to qualify as trainers. You may wish to consider taking a training qualification rather than one in management.
