Andrew had the vision to create a home care service in Barnsley that delivered the highest standards of care possible in order to improve the quality of life for individuals who choose to remain living in their own homes.

Andrew along with Mark started the Caremark (Barnsley) service in 2011, with the intention to become the best provider of home care in the region.

Over time Andrew recognised a requirement to support people with complex health conditions, to enable them to live an ordinary life in their own community and home.

Caremark's Complex Care Needs service was established alongside the domiciliary service and now supports many people with a diverse range of disabilities and complex health conditions. Supporting people at home, in the community, in educational settings and to enjoy social activities and interests.

We are delighted to be now also supporting people across Rotherham & Sheffield with our complex care service.

Mark established Caremark Barnsley in 2011 with his fellow co-founder Andrew Peace.

Mark has a personal belief that individuals would rather stay within their own homes, retaining their independence, confidence and local friendships.

Clear values, strong leadership and a commitment to attracting the very best staff are fundamental to good service.

Mark has always been passionate about providing excellent service, developing people and building great teams.

Since Caremark's domiciliary service started in 2011 there has been a real interest in also helping support people with complex conditions to live full and ordinary lives in their own home, as a result Caremark’s Complex Care service was born.

Working in close partnership with clients and their families, friends, carers, commissioners, local organisations and hospital teams, we provide safe and effective healthcare services to people in their own homes and communities.

We have a proven track record of supporting a wide range of short and long term complex care conditions and a reputation for delivering excellence across all aspects of case management. We also have experience in developing and implementing large-scale, managed service care provision.

We are delighted to be now also supporting people across Rotherham & Sheffield with our Complex Care service.

Diana joined our Complex care team in Barnsley as Care Manager- she is currently in the process of registering herself with the CQC for the Complex service.

Our complex service provides support to adults and children, who choose to remain living in their own home- individuals with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, mental health, ABI and spinal injury's.

Diana has been involved in care since 1997, when she started her career with Sheffield City Council, more recently she managed a large support team who provided support to people with learning disabilities within Sheffield.

Diana's main responsibilities are to ensure the safe and compliant support delivery to people supported within a dedicated team and to effectively lead and support our Care Assistants that deliver that support. We are delighted to have Diana in her team, she has extensive experience in community care.

Alyson joined our team as a Care Assistant and immediately made a real, positive impression on her clients and fellow care staff, she also really impressed Lesley, our Care Manager with her sincerity and passion for good quality care and people skills and communication.
Alyson has a strong administration and customer service background, she's operated at a high level in fast paced environments. Lesley felt that Alyson would add some more professional qualities to our internal team and when the opportunity arose asked Alyson to join us.

Natasha joined our team with a good understanding of Care as she has worked in the industry for a number of years, more recently she held a Customer relations role for a large organisation.

Natasha started her career in care at 18 and worked her way up to senior carer on an end of life unit which I continued for 3 years. Natasha has 7 years experience within the care sector and especially dementia and end of life. Natasha has also 3 years experience working with autistic young adults and caring for them in every aspect of daily life.

Natasha has made a huge contribution to our Care Coordinator team, she has worked incredibly hard to build consistent programs of work for our clients and care staff- we're very proud to have her in our team.

Jill joined us with a strong care background, she has worked in the care sector for over 20 years, her last role managing care staff for the Local Authority in a deputy Care Manager position.

Jill has worked alongside multi disciplinary teams and has been very much at the fore front in building consistency with each client group she has worked with.

Jill has provided support to people with complex conditions however her passion is with older people, she believes that older people have a right to great care and she wants to be part of our service that delivers to our clients. We are very pleased to have Jill in our team, she is intelligent, experienced and caring and is determined to make a difference.

We’re delighted to have Jade join our team as a Care Coordinator.

Jade joins us from a Senior Carer background, she has tremendous Care experience, her last role was Deputy Care Manager in a residential setting. Jade also has an excellent understanding of Customer service and we are really pleased how quickly she has settled into our team. Jade has some terrific experience together with some significant qualifications in health and social care- she’s currently working on her level 5, management qualification.

We look forward to Jade’s progression and the contribution she’s making to our clients schedules and staff programs of work.

Sharon joined the Caremark Barnsley Team back in 2011 as one of our very first Care & Support Worker’s, she made an immediate impact with her Customers and colleagues alike, she proved herself to be reliable, intelligent and caring. Sharon promoted into our first Care Coordinator role, she has a tremendous eye for detail and has an expert understanding of our operating platform and our organisations processes.

Following a short break from the company, Sharon returned on a temporary basis to support some system testing and training on our IT solution. Sharon’s previous accounts and Caremark systems experience has enabled her to progress again into a Finance Administrator role joining our Finance team, she now leads on financial and payroll matters. Sharon is based at our Barnsley office but is also responsible for finance admin across the Rotherham/ Sheffield site too.

Terri joined Caremark Barnsley as a Care & Support Worker in 2013. "Since working in the Care sector I have become a totally different person. When I started two years ago I did not know what to expect, as each day passed my confidence grew and I felt that my care practice became second nature- I had terrific support from my Supervisors. Joining Caremark (Barnsley) was the best decision I have ever made - to work for a company who value you as a person and not just a number is amazing’’.

Terri was promoted to Senior Care & Support Worker for the Dearne area of Barnsley where she excelled, after six months in the role she was promoted again into the role of Field Care Supervisor.

Terri has a tremendous eye for detail and provides her Team with wonderful support and guidance, Terri ensures her Customers receive excellent Customer service.

In November 2015 Terri began a secondment into our Coordinating Team, as she has a keen eye for detail and a further skill in planning and communication with our Customers and Team. In September 2017, Terri was promoted again, into her Recruitment & Training Officer role. Lesley Tattershall said, "we are very proud of Terri- she is someone who has a detailed knowledge of our service,Terri has working in almost every role in our business and to a very high standard, she knows exactly what we look for in a new Care Assistant. I am very pleased with her progress and thrilled to be working with her in this role".
