Hannah Drury is a multi-award winning young leader in the care industry.  Her interest in the sector comes from her lived experience of having been a young carer to both her sister and her step-father. She is driven by deep compassion, understanding and a rigorous professional approach. She understands first hand how the life/lives of a person/family can be transformed by the right kind of care and support. She says “We can’t always change what happens to us; but we can make sure we care for people with dignity, compassion, kindness and absolute professionalism. When I look at our service I always ask myself “would this be good enough for my Mum or a member of my family”.

Debbie Binner

Chairwoman

 

Debbie Binner is a highly respected communications professional and health campaigner with a background in senior management in the NHS and in private healthcare. She has written a best selling book https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yet-Here-Am-Womans-Story-ebook/dp/B07KC2ZWGC which charts her family’s journey caring for a child with cancer and a husband with motor neurone disease.   Debbie now sits on the board of a European organisation that campaigns for innovative treatments for children with cancer and people with rare illnesses.  She played a key role in changing regulations around research and drug development as part of Lord Maurice Saatchi’s Medical Innovation Bill.  She is committed to about making life better for people with life challenging circumstances.

Debbie and her husband Simon first set up Caremark in 2014 with the mission of providing the best possible family centred care in the area.  Her passion is this area is focussed on going above and beyond what is expected and ensuring all care is built around the holistic needs of all of our customers.  She is especially focussed on customer involvement in building and improving the service.

Julia

Care Manager

Julia combines a much sought after skillset of laser focussed professionalism and determination with a huge kind heart.  She lives and breathes what is best for her customers and is always searching for ways to improve our customers’ lives in any way we can.

Like most of our staff Julia has been with Caremark for many years and she is a fantastic advocate for our brand.

Prior to Caremark Julia held a number of supervisory roles in the retail sector.  She is highly experienced in ensuring compliance with detailed systems.

She has strong personal links to the geography of the area and is very familiar with local schools and organisations.

Emma Evans

Care Co-ordinator

Since joining the team in 2017 our lovely Emma has continually demonstrated her unwavering commitment to our customers and to the ethos of the Caremark brand.

Emma brings with her a wealth of care and coordinating experience.  She has worked in all aspects of the care industry and brings this diverse knowledge to her coordinating and deeply understands the needs of customers and carers

Emma shares the vision and passion of all our Caremark (Sutton, Epsom and Reigate) staff and is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care alongside the Caremark (Sutton, Epsom and Reigate) team.

Raquel Vares

Field Care Manager

Raquel joined our team as a carer initially, standing out with her caring nature, vast knowledge, experience and confidence in all area of care delivery. She quickly and naturally took on a mentoring role to our less experienced care staff. In 2022 Raquel took on the exciting and challenging role of managing and delivering our first reablement service for the London Borough of Sutton, which meant delivering short term, immediate support to those being discharged from hospital with the aim of getting them back to independence in their own home. She did an incredible job in this role so when the scheme finished on September 2023 we offered her the position of field manager in Epsom, Ewell, Banstead and Reigate – we were delighted she accepted!
Since very young Raquel has been involved in caring for her older sister that has been paralysed since she was 6years old and has been involved in professional and personal care delivery ever since.
Raquel dedicates herself to  working tirelessly providing the best support to our customers, and she says nothing brings her greater satisfaction than knowing she has made a positive impact on someone’s life.

Field Care Supervisor

It is difficult not to smile when Debbie is around!  An absolute care professional Debbie brings a great sense of humour and lots of joy and fun to the team and to all our customers.  She’s great to have around. She started her career in business travel and then moved into catering for Sutton United feeding all of the footballers. But it is in care that she found her real vocation and has worked in the industry for 15 years. She says that there is no feeling better than leaving a customer with a smile on their face knowing that we’ve made a difference to their lives. Debbie is a hugely popular member of the Caremark team.

Mike Taylor

Recruitment Manager

Mike is our training and recruitment manager, bringing decades of experience from the education sector to Caremark (Sutton, Epsom and Reigate). With an utterly professional approach, he knows exactly the kind of care assistant we are looking for. Mike is now heading a new training and retention programme to ensure we continue to build teams of specialised experts. For the right people we can offer high level training in supporting people with complex health needs.

Ron Riosa

Financial Accountant

Ron, our loyal and long serving, financial accountant. He’s responsible for keeping our finance on track and ensuring that we are compliant and up-to-date at all times. Before Caremark (Sutton, Epsom and Reigate), Ron was a Fund Accounting Analyst for JP Morgan Bank and prior to that as an Actuarial Analyst for Prudential plc. Ron holds a degree in Mathematics.

Hunter

Cuddle buddy

Last, but definitely not least, is our four legged member of staff – Hunter the cocker spaniel.

We think he’s pretty gorgeous and so do a lot of our staff and customers.

As we all know life gets difficult sometimes, but Hunter is always there with a wagging tail and will jump on your lap as soon as you sit down.  It’s difficult not to feel loved when Hunter is around.

We do of course appreciate that some people can get anxious around dogs so we always check to see if he needs to pop into his basket for a while.  He completely understands and so do we:)
