Since starting my career at Caremark in 2019 as a care assistant, then progressing to care coordinator in 2022, my passion for care has blossomed ever since. Going into care is one of the best things I have ever done and I feel I have found my right place.

I take pride in my work and always aim to achieve the very best for our customers and colleagues. I am humbled to work in an industry that cares about our customers and carers. It gives me great satisfaction guiding and supporting our team who deliver a high standard of care to our customers.

Michelle Mallon

Care Coordinator

I started my journey with Caremark in 2018 as a carer. Having never done care before I really didn’t know what to expect, but the role was a good fit around my young children so I decided to give it a try. I very quickly fell in love with my job, I loved knowing that I was making a difference in people’s lives.

In 2021, I applied for a job in the office, and although I was unsuccessful with the application, the management team recognised my capabilities and offered me an alternative position. They supported and guided me down a path that I never imagined I’d be able to walk. I now support and train staff, whilst working closely with the office staff and the customers to help deliver a high quality service.

I love my position in Caremark, no two days are ever the same, and I’ve built some incredible life long relationships  with my colleagues. The support and guidance I’ve received throughout my career has been outstanding, and it’s thanks to the team of people around me that my part time job to pay the bills has turned into a passionate career choice. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!

I started this journey with Caremark in 2019 and wasn’t sure if this was the right career for me. I have since come to realise it was definitely the best choice I made to apply for the job of care assistant with Caremark.

Since starting with Caremark, I have had the opportunity to pursue an NVQ in Health & Social Care and I am also proud to say I have been promoted to a field care supervisor. I find my role has so much variety, every day is unpredictable with different challenges, but these are extremely rewarding. I love what I do and work alongside a fantastic team.

Amanda Sellers-Sutcliffe

I joined the Caremark team during the Covid lockdown. I started as a care support worker and I loved meeting all the Clients and supporting them at a very difficult time. I have always felt supported by my colleagues and the management team. They have offered me encouragement and support in progressing my career and I now hold the role of Field care supervisor. I am very grateful that the management team gave me the opportunity to progress into this new role. I now have the great pleasure of meeting new clients and making them feel safe and answering any concerns they may have about receiving care.
