About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our care team on a guaranteed hours with contract available on request. This role is ideal for someone who wants the opportunity to take on added responsibility while continuing to provide high-quality, person-centred care within the community.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support service users with their daily needs while also acting as a role model and support to other care staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality personal care and support in line with individual care plans
- Administer or assist with medication in accordance with policies and training
- Support service users with mobility, nutrition, personal hygiene, and daily activities
- Promote dignity, independence, and choice at all times
- Act as a senior point of contact during shifts, offering guidance to Care Assistants
- Monitor and report changes in service users’ physical or emotional wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and management as required
- Ensure care is delivered in line with CQC regulatory standards
- Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control procedures

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in a care/support worker role
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults or elderly individuals
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A caring, patient, and professional approach
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Right to work in the UK
- Must have good English communication skills
Desirable
- Experience in a senior or lead care role
- Dementia care experience
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Live-in Care Assistant
Job description
Live-in care is when the carer lives in the home with the person they are caring for and provide care whenever is required. This is what makes it the most comprehensive care. Live-in care gives our customers the advantage of full-time care and companionship within their home 24 hours a day. Live-in carers will work with the customers and their families if necessary to support them in their daily routines. Private live-in care, as any care enables people to stay in their home for as long as possible.
Live-in carers are able to assist with a wide range of duties but mostly focus on maintaining the health and wellbeing of their customers. So while they will help with household chores their main duties will include things like medication management, assisting with physiotherapy exercises, taking the customer to appointments and liaising with doctors, mobility support, grooming and personal care. Live-in carers are also a source of emotional support and friendship, it can be frustrating and very emotional for the customer to accept that they now are in the position they need care. Being a source of comfort and a friend to lean on when they are having a bad day is an essential part of being a carer.
