After she qualified, Charlotte began working at the Sheffield Children’s hospital working across ICU, HDU and the general medical ward. This gave her extensive experience working with children and young adults who had a variety of needs including tracheostomies, gastrostomies and ventilation.

Being part of the Caremark family is incredible, I am so lucky to have the opportunity to work with such experienced, dedicated and caring individuals who inspire me every day. Being the clinical lead at Caremark Rotherham and Sheffield is never boring, whether that’s delivering clinical training, supporting with care or getting stuck in with all the important things such as bowling, football, mocktails and shopping!’

lousie clarke

Louise Clarke

Assessment & Recruitment Officer

Louise has worked in care since the age of 16 gaining experience within elderly and young physical disabled care in residential settings. Louise then started Nurse Training in 2004 but soon decided she would prefer to progress in social care rather than Nursing/Hospital settings. She then went on to work in the NHS as a palliative HCSW at Bassetlaw hospice and then as a rehabilitation assistant in the community before having a short break to raise her family.

After Louise had her 2 children, she then went back into residential care and progressed into management, working as a shift leader for Rotherham council on a 30 bedded EMI unit. Duties included managing the shift and care staff, undertaking care planning, risk assessing, staff supervisions, liaising with and following instruction from GP’s and other health care professionals.

After working long hours and weekends, Louise decided to look for a role where she had more of a work/life balance and started her role in April 2021 as the Assessment and Recruitment Officer role at Caremark. Louise enjoys learning about the children we support and writing unique and individual care and support agreements. The recruitment side of role can be very rewarding at times, meeting, and finding out about different people and their experiences.

Since working for Caremark Louise can now spend a lot of my time with her two sons and their Dad attending their football matches and cheering them on! She also enjoys spending time going out as a family and socialising with friends.

Louise is a very valued key member of the team, and we value her input every day.
