I joined Caremark (Broxtowe & Erewash) as a Care and Support Worker in December 2015. I was recognised by my team members and awarded Carer of the Year for 2016 which I was completely surprised by.

I now work as the Senior Care Coordinator and provide out of hours support to the care team. I enjoy the challenges and always stay calm to ensure our carer team and clients are managed with highest level of professionalism.

Field Care Supervisor

I joined Caremark (Broxtowe & Erewash) in January 2018 and now hold the position of Field Care Supervisor which means I am responsible for overseeing the work of carers in my area, carrying out assessments, helping to train new staff and still providing care myself.

It’s a privilege to be invited into someone’s home and you are often doing so at desperate times for them. They have good and bad days, like we all have, but as carers we need to ensure we are always attentive to people’s needs and be prepared to go over and above to meet these needs.

Field Care Supervisor

I joined Caremark (Broxtowe and Erewash) in November 2018 and was promoted to Field Care Supervisor in April 2019. In this role I am responsible for carrying assessments of new clients and devising their care plans, as well as still providing care myself.

If you come into care for the money, you have probably chosen the wrong job, but if you want to do something which makes a huge difference to people's lives, then it's the job for you.
