Emily Magrath
Operations Director
Emily has a degree in Health Promotion, a post graduate diploma in Health Promotion and a masters in Executive Leadership. Emily worked in the voluntary sector in Northern Ireland’s leading Cancer Charity Action Cancer for the last 11 years, managing the charities Health Promotion services before leaving to setup Caremark Northdown, Ards and Belfast with her husband Richard.
Richard Magrath
Managing Director
Richard has a wealth of business experience having run and operated a number of his own successful businesses over the past 20 years. He has a passion to provide high standards of care in Northern Ireland and also to create positive team work environments.
Roxanne Abel
Training & Compliance Manager
Roxanne has worked in education and training since 2011 and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Further Education. She has a wealth of experience in developing bespoke training sessions, personalised to meet organisational need as well as running a dynamic learning environment. Roxanne is a Dementia Friends trainer for the Alzheimer’s Society and has enhanced the knowledge of the workforce in provision of Dementia Friends workshops. She is currently working towards her L5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care that she will use to extend inhouse training and QCF opportunities for staff members.
Alana Workman
Care Manager
Alana has been working in the domiciliary care sector for 10 years. Alana joined the Caremark team in April 2019 and was shortly promoted to Care Manager in October 2019. Alana holds her level 3 certificate in Health and Social Care and at the final stages of completing her level 5 Health and Social Care. Outside of work Alana volunteers within a youth organisation focusing on youth development.
Christopher Downes
Wellbeing and Communications Manager
Christopher has 2 Honours Degrees from Queen’s University Belfast. He holds a professional qualification in Social Work. Christopher has 14 years’ experience working in the statutory, voluntary and private sectors. He has worked in a number of different fields such as mental health, physical/learning disability, families and young people. Christopher is trained in a range of various different therapeutic approaches and groupwork interventions.
Amanda Walsh
Area Care Manager
Amanda has been working at Caremark NI since 2020. She started with us as a Care Assistant, quickly progressing to the role of Area Care Supervisor and then, in 2023, she became our Area Care Manager. During her time with us, she has completed level 3 and level 5 qualifications as well as a several internal courses.
Melissa Dempster
Deputy Care Manager
Melissa started with Caremark in 2014 as a care and support worker and worked in the Bangor area. In 2017 Melissa returned from maternity leave and took up a part time post within the office as an administrator to suit her new life with a new born child, she was soon offered the coordinator position. In 2018 Melissa was promoted to senior care coordinator. In 2022 Melissa applied for Deputy Care Manager and was successful.
Gulnaz Amjad
Deputy Care Manager
I started with Caremark in June 2018 after I had looked after my mum who suffered with cancer before she passed away. I have a Btec HND in Textiles and had been running a successful import/export clothing business with my Husband, alongside being World Team Member as an Independent Herbalife Distributor, helping people in the community to lead a healthier lifestyle. Since joining Caremark as a Care and Support Worker part time, I swiftly moved on to become a full time Supervisor within 6 months of starting and have completed Level 3 Health and Social Care through the company.
Carol Savage
Senior Administrator
Carol Joined Caremark in 2016 as a care worker before taking up the position of office administrator and is now employed as senior administrator. Carol has over 18 years’ experience managing a community education programme and has a qualification in business management and holds an adult teaching certificate. (PTLLS)
Alison Crosbie
Financial Administrator
Alison recently joined Caremark and brings a wealth of financial experience from 16+ years in Banking, as well as having owned and operated their family business.
Lyndsay Towers
Compliance Officer
Lyndsay joined the Caremark family in August 2020 and brings 20 years’ experience in compliance with a focus in customer details and staff monitoring. Lyndsay has since gained a level 3 Award in Education and Training as well as a level 3 Award in Health and Social Care to allow her to support Roxanne and Andrew with welcoming and training the newest members of our team.
Andrew Banks
Compliance Officer
Andrew joined us as a compliance officer in October 2023.He had 4 years of experience working in compliance before joining our team. He describes his job as challenging, but rewarding as he gets to contribute to ensuring our clients receive the highest level of care
Andrew Caulfield
IT and Training Coordinator
Andrew started with Caremark as a Care Assistant in September 2014. Andrew took up a post as Care Coordinator post in June 2016 and has since been promoted to IT and Training Coordinator. Andrew has a level 3 award in Education and Training. He also has a First Aid and Moving and Handling certificate allowing him to deliver Caremark’s First Aid and Moving and Handling training
Andrew Armstrong
Private Care Coordinator
Andrew joined us as a care coordinator in June 2023 and had recently progressed to the role of private care coordinator. He has 10 years experience working in the health care sector as Dispensary Assistant in a local pharmacy. He has been enjoying working in the office and feels that there is great teamwork, with everyone working together towards one goal.
Rosie Jamison
Care Coordinator
Rosie has worked in the health and social care sector for the majority of her working life. Over the years she has furthered her career with training and qualifications, moving up in her career from care assistant, senior, and on to care coordinator now with Caremark. She is keen to keep progressing and is positive about her future here in Caremark.
Roberta Workman
Care Coordinator
Roberta started with Caremark in August 2020. She started as care coordinator and has done her level 3 health and social care. Roberta has worked in care for 11 years.
Sarah Stephens
Care Coordinator
I have 9 years’ experience in health and social care. I started as a care and support worker and previously was the supervisor for Holywood and Belfast Area. I am currently the care coordinator for the Lisburn and Comber/Killinchy area. My experience in these different fields have allowed me to gain knowledge in all aspects of the care industry. I have enjoyed all of my roles within Caremark as they have encouraged me to grow within my personal and professional development
Alex Strain
Care Coordinator
Alex worked as a Caremark Care Assistant in Belfast for over 2 years before joining our office team. He was promoted to the position of Care Co-ordinator for the Belfast area in late 2023. He chose to apply to become a Care Co-ordinator as he wanted a new challenge. He is looking forward to developing his knowledge and experience through supportive relationships with his colleagues
Tara McAlinden
Care Coordinator
Tara started in January 2024 and works as a Care Co-ordinator for the Bangor Doubles Team. She worked as a care assistant in a local care home for two years before deciding to progress her career in care and applying to work here with us. Tara has enjoyed her time with us so far and enjoys the additional responsibility and variety her new role offers.
