On Tuesday we hosted a sold out charity event at Worthing Dome to raise some much needed money for St Barnabas House. We would like to say thank you to everyone that came along.

Local television and radio presenter, Ellie Talebian hosted the event with the musical entertainment provided by Jack Valentine, a Frank Sinatra Tribute Artist. St Barnabas House Community Fundraising Officer, Mary Bye also said some moving words about the work that St Barnabas House do on a daily basis.

The guests were treated to afternoon tea at the iconic Worthing venue, that is only a pebble’s throw from the beach.

The raffle made £260, with Brighton Racecourse donating 2 premier racecourse tickets, Gala Bingo Clubs donated a VIP night out for 4 people and Pizzaface also donated £50 of vouchers.

Managing Director of Caremark (Worthing & Arun), Andrew Demetriou commented: “We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that came to our event, we have been overwhelmed by the support from the local community. St Barnabas House is a charity very close to our hearts and it has been a great opportunity to raise both awareness and of course, some much needed money, so they can continue with the fantastic work they do on a daily basis.

After going to have a look around St Barnabas House a few weeks ago, we felt that we really needed to get behind the charity so we have decided to make them our charity of the year and we look forward to putting on lots of other events thought 2018, to try and make a real difference”.
