Live-In Care

What is Live-in Care?

Having a Live-in Care package means you have a fully trained care and support worker living with you in your home.  They are there to support you to maintain your independence and remain living in your own home.  The care and support worker can help with:
  • Your physical needs – medications, medical conditions, nutritional needs, moving & positioning, personal care and continence care
  • Your psychological needs – mental capacity
  • Your domestic needs – home help and domestic tasks
  • Your companionship needs – companionship and emotional support
  • Your social needs – social activities and accessing the community

A live-in carer will be available to give you limited support overnight to be able to get enough rest to support you the next day. More than two wakes per night or longer periods of support required during the night would require additional assistance from a wake night carer.

How much does Live-in Care cost?

Live-in care is priced per day or part thereof based on the assessed level of needs.  The level of need and pricing will be confirmed following a care needs assessment.
We have a pricing structure which is detailed as:
  • Level 1 – Low-Medium Needs
  • Level 2 – High Needs
  • Level 3 – High Needs with Specialist Support
The final price for your care will be confirmed after our care assessment specialist has visited you in person to fully assess your needs, finalise your care plan and check with you that we have everything covered to your satisfaction.

What are the benefits of Live-in Care?

There are many advantages to Live-in Care, some of the key ones are:
  • Staying in your own home in the setting you love the most and place you have built memories in
  • Flexible care and support built around you – your care and support worker help as much or little as you like
  • Continue doing the things you want to do when you want to do them
  • Having someone there to keep you company, having the sense of closeness and safeness

We would love to discuss your individual home care requirements, be it by meeting, by email or over the telephone at a time that is convenient to you. If you would like to discuss this with one of the team, please get in touch on 0151 345 0520. Alternatively you can send us an email to
