Caremark Dartford & Gravesham recently moved into their new offices in Springhead Enterprise Park, holding an office opening on 8th October 2021. The Deputy Mayor of Gravesham, Cllr Peter Scollard, attended the event, highlighting the vital work of domiciliary care providers in the community and thanking all our care and support workers for their hard work throughout the pandemic. It was a fun day for our staff and we managed to raise some money for a local cause.

In September 2021, Caremark Dartford & Gravesham moved into our new offices in Springhead Enterprise Park. Since starting the business in March 2018 we have been based on Harmer Street in Gravesend Town Centre, however as our business and team has grown significantly it was time to move into a bigger office space.

We wanted to mark the occasion and celebrate our achievements as a team, so on 8th October we held a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony which was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Gravesham, Cllr Peter Scollard. One of our key charity partners, Carers First, that we have been working with since we started the business also joined us on the day.

Peter gave a thoughtful speech to our employees, recognizing the importance of the work we do and thanking our staff for their commitment:

“The services Caremark offers gives choices for people wishing to live in their own homes, a place filled with memories and loved ones in a supported way. It is a vital part of our community’s care package. God knows these past two years have been hard on everyone and resulted in an increase of pressures at home and social isolation. Support to the vulnerable at home has never been more vital and for this reason I would like to express my gratitude to all the carers who have worked throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown. I am aware at times it must have been very challenging for you and your families, so thank you all. I would also like to highlight the importance of local businesses like this one for creating much needed jobs in the Dartford & Gravesham area. Thank you to everyone for doing such valuable work.” – Cllr Peter Scollard.

Our carers dropped by the office throughout the day for food and refreshments and and we also oragnised a charity bake sale, supporting a young man from Gravesend called Jasdeep Dale after his spinal cord surgery. Jasdeep has been selected to participate in experimental treatment to help his mobility and quality of life and we will be continuing our fundraising efforts for him this year. We raised over £60 in the bake sale and as a business we donated a further £1,000 to support Jasdeep with costs for this treatment.

“Given the Covid-19 restrictions we have not had an opportunity to take a moment and take stock of what we have achieved over the past three and a half years. We therefore wanted to take this opportunity and organise a day to thank our staff for the incredible work they do.” Raspinder Singh, MD.
