On Saturday 30th June from 7pm at St Paul’s Church, Chichester, our friends at Caremark (Chichester) will be putting on a summer concert with The Chichester Community Choir, raising funds for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.

Enjoy a mixture of rock, pop, gospel and songs from the musicals. Refreshments will be available at the interval.

Alison Taylor, the Corporate Fundraiser from Chestnut Tree House, will be saying a few words about the care and support they offer for more than 300 children and young adults with progressive life-shortening conditions.

The concert is part of The Festival of Chichester, which has over 200 events across the city this summer.

There will also be a raffle with some great prizes, including: a family ticket to Live at the Regis at Alexandra Theatre with Joe Pasquale, a half-day photography workshop for 2 people at Chichester Harbour with Ali Warner Photography (worth £100), some cinema tickets, an adult ticket to Weald & Downland Living Museum and a hamper.

Managing Director of Caremark (Chichester), Andrew Demetriou commented: “After going to look around Chestnut Tree House and finding out about the amazing work they do, we felt we had to try and do something to raise some much needed money for them.

“There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex. Chestnut Tree House offers support for the whole family including psychological and bereavement support, end of life and short break care and sibling support.

“It currently costs well over £3.5m each year to provide all the care services provided by Chestnut Tree House. Families are never charged for their care and less than 7p in every pound is funded by the government, so they rely heavily on the generosity, help and support of the people of Sussex.

“We would love to see as many people from the local community as possible, to pull together and raise some much-needed money for a great local charity.”
