It’s 5:45am, the alarm rings and it’s the start of your day. By 6:45am you’re on your way to see your first client. For Sharon, that’s Graham*. When Sharon gets to his house, its time for Graham* to get up and get himself washed and dressed for the day. Meanwhile, Sharon will make his bed, sort out his washing and cook him a full cooked breakfast that he has every morning without fail. If there’s time Sharon will clean the bathroom or the kitchen, before she leaves him for the rest of the day until she returns at tea time.
Sharon’s day continues seeing more clients providing more support from assisted washes, washing dishes, doing a weekly shop, to just sitting down having a chat over coffee and biscuits. Sharon is a carer.READ THE FULL ARTICLE
