Children's Care Assistant

We are currently seeking Female Engaging Children’s Care and Support Worker’s who drive with a UK driving licence to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidates will be passionate about working with children, with a focus on creating engaging and enriching experiences that promote their well-being, development, and happiness.

This role involves building meaningful connections with children, empowering them to explore their interests and talents while providing the care and support they need.

As a Children’s care and Support Worker you be working a two-week rolling rota which includes working alternate Saturday & Sunday.

Your working hours must remain the same throughout your employment. We have PART TIME & FULL TIME day and night working hours available for the right candidates.

We provide support from 4 hours up to 12 hours at any one time, where you will be supporting the same regular group of clients on a regular basis.

We provide support to our clients within their home, school, college and to access the community. Our clients love to be able to undertake activities and visit places of interest.

This role requires successful candidates to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging activities that stimulate your client’s curiosity, creativity, and social interaction.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where your client feels respected, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.
  • Provide personalised care and support to meet the individual needs of each client, including assistance with daily activities such as personal care, medication administration, moving & handling requirements, emotional support, and guidance.
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to your clients care and support.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment, following health and safety protocols and addressing any risks or concerns promptly.
  • Document and communicate your client’s progress, achievements, and any concerns to relevant team members, parents and guardians.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
  • Genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Compassion, empathy, and patience in supporting children through challenges and transitions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • To remain reliable and punctual throughout your role to enable to build professional working relationships.
  • Previous experience working with children in a care or support role preferred but not essential.
