Field Care Supervisor for Caremark Croydon

Hours: Full-time

Location: Croydon, Surrey


The role takes responsibility for ensuring our clients are receiving the care and support they expect and deserve. You will be liaising with the client directly both at the commencement of the service and for its duration. This will involve conducting assessments and reviewing on a regular basis how the service is delivered.

Our Field Care Supervisors will be responsible for supervising and managing the Care and Support Workers, and ensuring that they are always adhering to Caremark's high standards.

Working closely with the Care Manager and Co-ordinator to plan the service effectively, the role also includes holding regular team meetings and one-to-one meetings with Care Workers to discuss their progress and training.

By maintaining close relationships with both the client and the Care Worker, the Field Care Supervisor is fundamental to the organization of a high quality service.     Job Description

    • Minimum of Two years’ experience of working within a health and social care setting.
    • To hold minimum NVQ level 2 in Adult Health and Social Care or working towards it.
    • Able to demonstrate good organizational and leadership skills.
    • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
    • The ability to work on own initiative and as a team member.
    • Supervisory skills with qualities to lead and motivate a staff team.
    • Flexible approach to work patterns/schedules.
    • Must have a clean full Driver’s license
    • Must be punctual and good with time keeping
    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    • To carry out Individual Needs Assessments for new and potential customers.
    • To conduct risk assessments as part of the Individual Needs Assessment and update these as required as part of the individual's risk management.
    • To ensure all customer visits are always covered.
    • To Participate in the out of hours/on-call services in case of emergency.
    • To liaise closely with care Coordinators regarding new starters and new client packages.
    • To identify suitable Care & Support Workers to cover for any absences, this may be due to sickness or holiday.
    • To allocate suitable alternative Care Support Workers when an existing Care & Support Worker notifies that they are unable to attend a call.
    • To facilitate the practical induction of all new Care & Support Workers.
    • To provide and facilitate in field-training and when appropriate.
    • To identify any additional training needs of Care & Support Workers and report accordingly.
    • To conduct customer reviews and respond to individual Review Forms completed by Care & Support Workers as soon as possible.
    • To urgently report any changes in a Care & Support Workers in the field.
    • To provide support to all Care & Support Workers in the field.
    • To monitor all customers for service an Care & Support Worker satisfaction.
    • To ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation held in customers 'homes.
    • To encourage and identify opportunities for care & Support Workers continuing professional development.
    • To ensure that all written reports and administration is up to date.
    • To maintain close liaison with both the Care Manager and Care Coordinator.
    • Must have experience in understanding Rota system
    • As a Senior member of the staff you will be expected to promote core values and beliefs in every aspect of your role, from working with our clients to mentoring care workers
