Caremark is a Home Care provider, offering Care and Support services to people within their own homes and in their local communities. From our office in Halifax, we offer support to anyone living in Calderdale and the surrounding villages.
Caremark (Calderdale) offers Care and Support to any adult looking for some assistance to continue living at home safely and comfortably.
At Caremark we understand that some of the daily routines many people take for granted can become difficult or restrictive. We are here to help you remain independent at home and continue to enjoy life to its fullest, without worrying about the things that are very personal to you.
Our Care and Support services can also extend to supporting you in the community, assisting in your sense of inclusion and well being. This support can be with travel to work or to the shops, or supporting you during a leisure activity, for example you may like some help to go swimming or to the cinema.
Just outside the bustling town centre of Halifax, the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre is a stunning mill conversion. A fusion of Northern grit with simple, modern, minimalist design. The Innovation Centre is a fitting tribute to the town’s entrepreneurial fashion and textile designer Elsie Whiteley who created a successful, world renowned business empire from the mill.
The former Elsie Whiteley Mill was purchased in 2004 by Yorkshire Forward on behalf of Calderdale Council. Once home to Halifax`s pioneering fashion designer and textile entrepreneur Elsie Whiteley- The £5m, investment marked not only Halifax`s thriving creative past as a leading industrial hub, but embraced the region`s future as a base for new companies to develop and grow their business.
'I have worked as a Community Carer since August 2007 and came to work for Alison at Caremark Calderdale in June 2010. I have rapidly come to realise that Caremark are probably THE best care company to work for. Alison and her staff genuinely care about their staff and treat you with respect which in return, produces happy carers who in turn enjoy their job greatly and provide a high level of service. I can't honestly imagine working for anyone else!!!!!'
'Dear S.
I wish to confirm that my family have been using Caremark (Calderdale), for my Dad, Mr KM since June 2010 as he suffers from Parkinson’s disease, and has done for approximately 11 years.
From the initial interview with Alison Jackson, we have found them to be extremely professional, very caring and very easy to communicate with.
Caremark are employed Monday, Wednesday and Friday for at least 3 hours per day by two excellent carers, N and P. When my Dad is having what is know as an ‘off period’, their duties will be varied, from helping him to get in and out of the chair, stopping him from falling over, just generally being there for him to ensure he is safe.Nothing is too much trouble for them, and if we find that we require extra care at short notice then again this is no problem.
Before we started with the care, our family was finding life really rather difficult, but now N or P will take my Dad out shopping, to the local snooker club, walking, play chess or cards with him at home, which has in turn given my Dad his independence back. He now looks upon N and P as friends.
From a daughter’s point of view, I feel that Parkinson’s is quite a lonely disease as communication becomes difficult, but since employing Caremark my Dad’s social skills seem to have improved immensely. He is now happy to go anywhere or just sit and chat.
All in all I would say that Caremark has greatly improved my Dad’s and in turn our family life'
'I have worked for Caremark for approximately 3 months and in that time I have found them to be a very proactive, caring and both client and employee orientated company. My day to day duties are made easy by a flexible rota and open door management. Time for career development and progression is granted and even encouraged by the many free courses offered by Caremark. I believe Caremark to be a solid new company with a bright future and I am honoured and excited to be a part of it.' S.D Care Worker
